I’ll stick with Apple Mail for now and look for other options. Postbox - per your list, current version are not compatible with SpamSieveĪside from Apple Mail, the only options for the current OS that work with SpamSieve are AirMail and Outlook, both of which are rental software. Gyzaamail is not compatible with the current OS (per their website) Mailsmith claims is it no longer developed. Powermail you list as only compatible with POP accounts. Current version also requires a subscription. Outlook is part of Office, which I’d rather not get involved with. Unfortunately, that takes Airmail out of consideration for me. To your point, that’s probably because there is not one-time purchase desktop version. Their website seemed to indicate that a one -time purchase for the desktop app was available for “Airmail for Business”, but I can’t seem to find it. Airmail is rental, a concept that I am opposed to. Until a stable release version is published, I count Mailmate as “not-compatible.” It may be something to consider in the future (Although it could be argued that Apple Mail is currently little better than beta sofware). I’d rather not trust my business email to beta software. Maiilmate’s site states: “Although the public release above does work on Big Sur (macOS 11), it is currently recommended to use the latest test release of MailMate instead.” Has anyone come across this issue? Is it possible SpamSieve has something to do with it? It there a way to totally disable SS and test without losing training data? I see that I can uninstall from SS itself, but am not sure if that will delete all the training data. However, SS still starts up when I start Mail. I have disabled SS in the preference menu, but the problem in Mail persists. SpamSieve is the only plug-in/alteration I have for Mail. Problem persists through app and system restarts. The dropdown function does not work to show other options. I can still “move” and “flag” a message from the toolbar, using whatever value is already there. Recently, both dropdowns stopped working. One for “move” and one for the “flag” option. The problem seems to have started around the time of a recent SpamSieve update. I’ve recently started seeing a new problem with the toolbar. PowerMail only supports SpamSieve with POP accounts.Īdditional information and downloads can be found on the homepage of this product.Apple Mail has been giving me trouble ever since Big Sur. Theyre not even listed in my Airmail operations log. Nonetheless, unless i leave Mail.app open along with Airmail, Airmail generally does not move emails correctly identified by Spamsieve as spam to my Junk folder. Outlook from Microsoft Office 2011 (14.x) and later, including Outlook 15.x and 16.x from Office 365. (By applying a workaround you can use SpamSieve with Mailsmith 2.1.5.) Mailsmith 2.3.1 and later from Stickshift Software. MailMate 1.1.2 and later from Freron Software. GyazMail 1.2.0 (1.5.8 or later recommended). NOT Mac OS X 10.13, 1GHz Intel Mac Core Solo, 16MB HD, 128MB RAM- Apple Mail from macOS 10.13 and later (including macOS 13 Ventura). By learning from the very messages that you receive, SpamSieve is able to block nearly all of your junk mail, without putting your good messages in the spam mailbox. Other spam filters get worse over time as spammers adapt to their rules SpamSieve actually gets better over time as it adapts to your mail. We are all running MS Entourage with POP mail only (no IMAP). Recently we switched some of our office’s machines to be Macs, so I licensed SS for everybody and put it on. It's quick and easy to control SpamSieve from within your mail client, and you can customize how it interacts with the rest of your message sorting rules. I have used SpamSieve on my Mac for some time, and I love it - a lifesaver. SpamSieve gives you back your inbox by bringing powerful Bayesian spam filtering to Mac e-mail clients. Interestingly, the sole DSLR we've included here also has a similar battery life, which is unusual, and a significantly smaller viewfinder, which is the cost that is usually paid for choosing an optical viewfinder (especially at this price piont). The majority of these cameras have APS-C sensors, which are around 60% larger than the one in the Panasonic or Olympus, would you'd expect to give them around a 2/3EV noise advantage but also allows the Panasonic and its lenses to be significantly smaller, for the same equivalent focal lengths. Those cameras that don't have built-in image stabilization tend to be sold with image stabilized lenses so that, as a package, they offer similar capabilities. They all offer Wi-Fi, builit-in viewfinders and movable rear screens. One thing that should be apparent from this table that, with the exception of the occasional distinguishing feature, the specifications are all pretty similar. It's also one of the smallest of these cameras - especially if you consider the size of lenses that you might attach. The Panasonic isn't, perhaps, the prettiest option in this company, but is the best specified if video and stills are taken into account. This means it represents something of a bargain for users who want this additional control but risks intimidating the first-time ILC shooter. The design of the G7 suggests Panasonic is hoping to attract would-be DSLR buyers, but the level of direct control also makes it competitive with the likes of Sony's a6000 (which also offers a built-in viewfinder and reasonable degree of direct control), Olympus's E-M10 or Fujifilm's X-T10. Wi-Fi for remote shooting and image transfer. This means that you still shoot to 'get the moment' but you're much more likely to be successful. The G7 also tries to turn its video capability into a plus for people with no intention of shooting video: the latest iteration of Panasonic's '4K Photo' mode includes the option to constantly record 1 sec chunks of video that are written to the memory card the moment you hit the shutter button. 16MP isn't exactly cutting-edge at this point but 4K (UHD) video remains something of a rarity (at the time of writing), especially if you factor-in the fact that the G7 also offers focus peaking and zebra highlight warnings - two of the key tools necessary for shooting useable video that are often absent from its peers. The specifications are pretty solid, too. However, because it is a mirrorless camera, it is able to make good use of its fully articulated, touch-sensitive screen. In fact it includes all the control points you'd expect from a mid-range DSLR, including twin control dials as well as plenty of buttons and switches. Instead it's trying to be a non-specific interchangeable lens camera: a camera where you don't have to think about whether it has a mirror or not.Īs a result it looks like a miniature DSLR and includes all the control points you'd expect. Yet, despite this, the last thing it's trying to be is a mirrorless camera. The Panasonic G7 is a direct descendant of the first ever mirrorless camera. For huge decks probably you want to ‘show new cards in order added’. It’s better to get the majority out of the ‘learning’ pile with these 3 steps, and then use the ‘hard’ button to deal with the trickier cards which you don’t retain as well.įor Order you have a choice.
